Nicola, the wine and the vineyard #52

The fifty-second page of our journal. Here is the story of our year! Every January marks a special moment: a chapter closes and a new one begins. We carry with us a profound sense of gratitude for 2025—a year lived to the fullest, intense and deeply moving. Let’s retrace it together. You are our cellar. Thank you!

Nicola, the wine and the vineyard #52

January
Pruning completed and work on the new Cru—Cudula: a calcareous-chalky soil that we have begun to bring back to life. In the cellar, we toasted to the five-year anniversary of the ME. GA. Wine Club, which has achieved extraordinary success.

February - March
The new plantings were taking shape, and in the vineyard, the buds awakened earlier than expected. February in the cellar was dedicated to the delicate stages of tirage and prise de mousse (secondary fermentation). This is the moment when the character of each cuvée is defined.

April
In the vineyard, we monitored the growth with great care. April saw the final cellar tours of the first cycle; our thanks go to the many enthusiasts who joined us to deepen their understanding of our wine and our methodology.

May - June
In the vineyard, the clusters began to close, and the 2025 vintage proved to be promising. The providential rains at the end of June restored the necessary water balance. In the cellar, the "calm before the harvest" gave way to careful planning.

July
Grapes in excellent health and optimal diurnal temperature shifts (warm days and cool nights). We began to say it: 2025 promises to be a great vintage for quality and harmony. Many encounters in July: on July 11th, the ME. GA. Tour stopped in Varese at "Il Gestore" restaurant. An incredible evening of wine, fine cuisine, and great conviviality.

August - September
A generous harvest: the wines, now undergoing fermentation, foreshadow the greatness of the 2025 vintage. In September, the highlight was the sold-out fourth edition of MEGAFRIENDS: a true ritual of sharing among the vines, featuring the cuisine of Ferdy, La Dispensa, Bolle, Da Lucio, gelato from Ciacco Lab, and coffee by Gli Ormesini.

October - November
The vineyard is at rest. We waited for the next pruning season. Meanwhile, we began exploring a new micro-zone in Navezze to plant a future vineyard.

December
The month opened with the decision to find our own pace and leave our Instagram profile: however, this newsletter remains, becoming increasingly important to us. We closed the year in style on December 20th with the fourth edition of GATTA'S PREMIÈRE, where we enjoyed an exclusive preview of the new Single-Vineyard Crus (Cru Parcellari). Welcome 2026!

We conclude an extraordinary year, marked by hard work and precious encounters. We look to the future with more experience, but the same enthusiasm.

Thank you for being part of our story.

The glass is a medium;
Wine is sharing.
