Nicola, the wine and the vineyard #43

Forty-third page of my journal. Let me tell you about our January: working on the new cru on the west side of Cudula, a special thank you for these 5 years of emotions, and the new availabilities for visits. At the end of this article, you'll find the "What to drink" section. Every month, I’ll tell you which bottle I’d open!

In the vineyard: new CRU CUDULA

Winter is when the vineyard rests, but for us, the work never stops.

We're putting the final touches on a new cru on the west side of the Cudula hill, right inside the Cellatica Amphitheater.

Three years ago, we came across this abandoned terraced plot, once a thriving vineyard, now forgotten. And yet, its limestone and chalky soil still had a story to tell. Now we’re at the decisive stage: this land is about to take its final shape with the planting of vines and the full setup of the vineyard structure.

It’s also a cultural choice for us. We want to bring these challenging yet extraordinary lands back to life, preserving their harmony and rich history.

IN the cellar: five years of emotions

Five years of ME.GA. Drinkers and another lightning-fast sellout!

Every year, I think you’ve gotten used to it, and yet you still manage to surprise me. Getting this far, together, is truly incredible.

THANK YOU.

Thank you to those who’ve been with us since day one, to those who joined along the way, and to the newcomers this year.  ME.GA. Drinkers is all about sharing, discovering, and letting time surprise us and it’s amazing to see how much you feel part of it.

For those who couldn’t get in this year, no worries! Spring visit reservations are now open. With warm days ahead, the vineyard coming back to life, and a glass in hand, we’ll share our story, our wines, and the choices that guide us every day.

What to drink

Here's what I would open right now,

🍾 MOLENER Rosé disgorgment March 2024

Why? Here’s why...

This bottle was disgorged just under a year ago, revealing bright fruit notes that beautifully balance with its acidity. A young yet satisfying wine, perfect on its own or paired with grilled meat and dishes with iron-rich flavors. Powerful and well-balanced!

"Where to drink" is the page where you’ll find a list of friends who serve my wines.
